At 11pm, through the passage of Fokker gate, terrorists entered and raided on the airport by starting fierce firing, fire caught in the aftermath of bomb ripping off and rocket attack. The Rangers and Army personnel started sweeping operations at airport, and after six hours operation the area was cleaned, by killing all terrorists. In this event, so far dead bodies were reported at 22, whilst 30 people injured.

In the meanwhile, Edhi management with its ambulances and social workers, reached at the tragic scene of Airport, where the Edhi workers after providing free services—like cleaning of bodies, exclusive bathing, as well as shrouding to 12 coffins, and were shifted to their native places, whereas 10 unknown coffins were shifted to the Edhi morgue, at Sohrab Goth Karachi, and 30 injured were immediately shifted to Jinnah Hospital Karachi for speedy treatment.

In this tragic event, 30 ambulances, 60 rescue workers of Edhi, participated to assist the security forces and government functionaries, as well as the affected people at the Karachi airport.
